Time

An arrangement of Time by the inimitable Hans Zimmer.


This track uses a lot of Project Sam Symphobia 1 and 2 and True Strike 1 and 2 libraries, Native Instruments Orchestral libraries, Una Corda, Omnisphere for guitar and all mixed and mastered with VSL.

Hope

Another fairly simple full orchestral piece, this time using Symphobia, Omnisphere and VSL.  The whole thing is recorded with a little Reverb and Mastering from the Vienna Suite plugins.

Finders Keepers

A new demo using some of the pre-recorded grooves from Spectrasonics Omnisphere Virtual Instrument plus some orchestral instruments courtesy of VSL (as usual).

Last March

UPDATE: This music was used in the Independent Short Film “Bruxa” and also on the DVD titles. Although can I find any information on the internet now - no :-(


This is the second original composition using VSL. Mostly an experiment with strings and brass and is definitely overly simplified compared to other works out there.


From a technical point of view this is my first work to be played via my new Yamaha 01x and uses the Yamaha Hall Reverb.  In terms of VSL instruments and articulations the following were used:

Kadesh

This is another original piece of music with a eastern slant to it.  All the instruments are from the Vienna Symphonic Library (VSL).


The Oboe and Violas use the performance legatos, everything else is from the Cube except the djembes and cabasas.

Summer Chill

This is one of my first original pieces of music.


The track originally started off from some chords a friend of mine put together for a guitar based song he wrote.  We recorded it and then my machine crashed and I lost it all.  So one night whilst tidying out my office I found the chords and thought they sounded nice and created something completely different to the original song.  Hopefully we'll get round to recording the guitar song again and then you can compare the two.


The arrangement is extremely simple - probably too simple, but its not too bad for a first piece of work.
